Rooms were not good. No Wifi (even though they say there is). But nice pool and activities. H20 split rock water park is nearby - so that was a plus.

All in all I would stay again and would recommend if you are just looking to get away and relax. If you have kids stay at Split Rock for the convenience.

Even though this place is outdated it is still nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable and all of the appliances worked. In other words it served its purpose. I was highly disappointed about the spa and restaurant being closed (they are only open on the weekends, which is stupid). The pools were nice and we loved the stable even though they could spend some time cleaning up around It (brush, weeds, general repair). Everything else needs more attention, the mini golf was rough, the picnic areas were bad with sticks, the tennis and basketball court was in need of repair, lake looked swampy, the fire pit was decent. I could go on but you get the idea. The best part of this place, and the reason it got 4 stars is when you go to for the purpose of doing a tour the give you "mountain bucks" to use at Split Rock just up the road.

Nice place, but you get what you pay for. If you want to just relax and prefer spending less than having certain things modernized this is a decent place to go.

Expect minimal service, barely acceptable rooms for hotel standards, and a very noticeable scent when entering various parts of the indoor resort - especially your room. The area is very pleasant to eyes, however.

Although I was initially going to give this place 2 stars I'm giving it an extra star for Caitlin and her crew for making this place memorable. Great service by them for the most part but as far a amenities it was sub par and dated. They market this place for potential time share customers but it clearly isn't working. The marketing and sales department need a reorg. The staff who actually care about the customers should be treated better and management should recognize that.
